About the Play
Danielle wrote The Five Stages: An Exploration of Grief in response to the death of a classmate, whose life was taken at the hands of her ex-boyfriend in 2011. The play explores the Five Stages of Grief as experienced through a friend of a domestic violence victim, and its mission is to raise awareness about the importance of healthy grieving. The play received the 2019 mini-grant from the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund as well as a front page feature in The Boston Globe. It made its sold-out NYC debut at the Producers Club in April 2019.
